Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis in Columbus, Ohio. This part-time role requires a detail-oriented individual with a solid background in probate and estate planning, who excels in communication and possesses strong writing abilities. The position is fully onsite and offers an opportunity to contribute to meaningful legal work.
Responsibilities:
• Handle probate matters, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and deadlines.
• Assist in estate planning processes, including drafting documents and coordinating with clients.
• Maintain accurate case files using case management software to streamline workflow.
• Support civil litigation efforts, including discovery tasks and trial preparation.
• Conduct legal research and prepare written materials to support case strategies.
• Collaborate with attorneys and other legal professionals to ensure seamless case management.
• Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, providing updates and guidance as needed.
• Review and edit legal documents for accuracy and clarity.
• Organize and manage schedules related to court appearances and filings.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Paralegal with a focus on probate and estate planning.
• Proficiency in case management software and familiarity with legal systems.
• Strong skills in civil litigation, including discovery and trial preparation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Columbus, Ohio.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a legal team.
• High level of professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information.
