Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A charter school network in the Columbus, OH area is seeking an experienced, on-site School Psychologist to support students in K-8 settings. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with school principals and special education teams, providing comprehensive psychological services tailored to various disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for K-8 students.
- Collaborate with educators and special education teams to develop appropriate intervention plans.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and support compliance with special education laws.
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with district policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid Ohio School Psychologist license.
- Experience working within a K-8 school setting, preferably in a charter school environment.
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools and special education regulations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively and prioritize tasks.
Location:
- Columbus, Ohio area, with on-site presence required.
Additional Information:
- Contract duration is through the end of the school year, starting as soon as possible.
- Approximately 35 hours per week, with some details to be finalized.
- Professional interviews will be conducted with the school principal and special education team.
