SUPERVISES: Volunteer Coordinator/Activity Personnel/Volunteer
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Plan and organize a variety of activities and events for different groups
- Coordinate with other staff members to ensure smooth execution of activities
- Create schedules and timelines for events and activities
- Manage budgets and resources for activities
- Develop promotional materials to advertise events
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities and programs
- Communicate regularly with participants to gather feedback and improve activities
- Ensure all activities comply with relevant health and safety regulations
- Maintain and update activity-related records and reports
- Identify and foster relationships with potential sponsors or partners
- Maintain activity supplies and equipment, ensuring they are in good condition
- Promote activities through various communication channels to increase participation
- Ensure all activities are conducted in a safe and inclusive manner
- Develop and implement activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being
- Train and supervise volunteers or support staff assisting with activities
- Coordinate special events or themed activities
- Submit articles and activity calendar for monthly Senior Tidings newsletter, post events on Facebook
- Initiate marketing strategies such as email, social media, and record radio spots with local media services, as ways of reaching the public to increase awareness of our organization.
- Reports to the CCCOA Executive Director on functions of the Activity Program.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

An Activity Coordinator plays a crucial role in designing, implementing, and overseeing a wide range of activities that cater to senior citizens, interests, and skill levels. Must ensure all participants enjoy enriching and memorable experiences that promote socialization, skill development, and overall well-being. Requirements:
Must have a minimum of the following:
- A minimum of two years’ experience working in recreational planning, event management or related field of activities.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in activity planning or event coordination
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to think creatively
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Familiarity with budgeting and resource management
- Proficiency in using software for planning and scheduling
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience working with diverse groups of people
- Proven experience in coordinating activities or similar roles
- Excellent organizational skills

- Creativity and the ability to create engaging and varied activities
- Ability to manage time efficiently and oversee multiple tasks
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Physical ability to participate in and facilitate activities
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge in fundraising
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of Crawford County area.
- Must be free of any disqualifying criminal offenses as determined by fingerprint check through the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation.
- Must possess a valid Ohio Driver’s license, automobile insurance, and have access to reliable transportation to travel throughout Crawford County.
