Full-Time Child Care Director - YMCA of Greater Toledo

As a Full Time Child Care Director, you'll be right in the heart of the action, fostering creativity and joy every day while earning competitive pay starting at $15.50-$17.50 an hour. This is a split shift. Hours are Monday-Friday 6:30-10:30am at the Sylvania location and 2:00-6:00pm at the Ottawa Hills location.

What You'll Do
As the Child Care Site Director at the Y, you'll be at the helm of daily operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and joyously! Your role involves overseeing center enrollment and marketing while keeping a close eye on classroom teachers and compliance with ODJFS licensing and Step-Up to Quality standards. You'll also handle billing, snack, and meal service, ensuring every child is nourished for fun-filled days! With your fantastic communication skills, you'll engage with children, parents, YMCA personnel, and center guests, creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels valued. Plus, you'll collaborate with fellow center directors, sharing ideas and strategies to elevate our programs further.
What We're Looking For
- B.S. Degree in Education or a related field with 2 years of relevant experience or an associate's degree with 4 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in Ohio Department of Job and Families Child Care licensing regulations and Step-Up to Quality standards
- Communication skills
- Strong leadership and supervision skills
- Passion for working with children and creativity
