Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator with experience operating track hoes to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment operation, particularly in excavation for electrical duct banks and utility vaults. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well within a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate track hoes and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently on job sites.
- Perform excavation, grading, and trenching tasks as required for civil and utility projects.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with project supervisors and other crew members to complete tasks accurately and on schedule.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Troubleshoot and report any equipment issues to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver's License and insurable.
- Proven experience operating track hoes.
- Strong understanding of excavation and construction processes.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
