ProFusion Industries, a highly regarded provider of transit step treads and transit flooring, custom specialty film products and protective linings is seeking a Production Scheduler at its Marietta, Ohio manufacturing facility.
Position Summary:
The Production Scheduler plans and establishes daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules, monitors material inventories, tracks progress of production, and reviews factors which affect schedules. Under limited supervision, performs routine and specialized tasks in coordinating new customer orders, existing customer delivery schedules, and finished product shipments. Plans and prepares manufacturing production schedules. Works and communicates frequently with manufacturing supervisors to determine the most efficient means of scheduling. Works with Technical department to schedule factory trials in a timely manner.
Essential Functions:
- Oversees activities associated with production scheduling, such as machine utilization, profitability, producibility, quality, performance, and meeting both internal and external customer requirements.
- Makes additions to master production schedule, expedited delivery, special requirements and replacement orders. This position schedules the manufacture of PVC films or matting used in the mass transit, automotive, general industrial and tent industries.
- Maintains customer delivery dates in line with customer requirements and master production schedule.
- Works closely with Customer Service to meet or exceed customer’s expectations.
- Learns and masters System 21 and Wildcat reports to ensure accurate, real-time information is available, and reports are generated in a timely manner to enable improved business decision making.
- Enters all production in System 21 and investigates all material variances.
- Allocates inventory to customer shipments and coordinates special requirements.
- Schedules machines with the intent of meeting annually published plant goals, which include OEE, utilization, on-time-delivery and inventory levels.
- Provides as needed ship from stock information to the Operations Manager.
- Establishes a strong focus on internal and external customer service.
- Collaborates with peers to determine department goals and objectives.
- Ensures proper upkeep and maintenance of documents as required by ISO 9001.
- Pursues and support cost reduction activities to achieve company goals.
- Participates in all job-related LEAN activities.
- Adheres to all plant safety rules.
- Keeps databases and files updated.
Basic Qualifications:
- Three (3) + years of experience in a manufacturing production scheduling role.
- Associate degree in business, or a business-related field is preferred.
- Experience in a plastics manufacturing facility or similar preferred.
- Excellent computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with ERP Systems a plus.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work flexible shifts as necessary.
