The Glass Asylum is the premier glassblowing studio in Northeast Ohio. We produce hand-crafted glass art and light fixtures for residential and commercial needs. We also teach classes, rent studio time and host events for both corporate and personal parties. Our aspiration is to offer multiple outlets for the public and creative community to expand their appreciation and knowledge of the art of glassblowing.
Now hiring a part-time Experienced Front Desk Gallery Host! Being the Front Desk Host here at The Glass Asylum means you are the first impression our guests get when they enter our studio! Responsibilities for this position include:
Being able to greet customers and answer their questions.
Answering phone calls and emails.
Scheduling workshops and checking in on clients while keeping the gallery tidy. Some excel and computer experience needed.
Handling customer orders and commissions.
This position requires good organizational skills, the ability to multitask and prioritize daily needs, customer service skills and creative problem-solving.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and interpersonal skills required.
No two days are exactly the same here which keeps this job fun and exciting in this creative atmosphere! As an added bonus, our studio pups Millie and Milo will keep you company during your shift!
We are looking for someone who can work evenings and weekend shifts 3 to 4 days per week. WEEKEND AVAILABILITY IS A MUST!
EVENING SHIFTS: Typically 3PM-Close (Between 8PM-10PM Depending on Schedule)
SATURDAYS: Varying Shifts (Morning, Mid-shift, or Evening)
SUNDAYS: 9AM-Close (Changes Seasonally, 3PM-6PM)
Compensation does include shared tips on top of hourly pay of $17/hour.
