ORGANIZATIONAL STATUS:
The Engineering Co-op is appointed by, receives authority from, and reports to the Global Product Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties & responsibilities of the Engineering Co-op include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:
- Lead specific engineering activities and projects.
- Lead manufacturing initiatives and implementation.
- Work with manufacturing to implement operational and sourcing cost saving initiatives.
- Take an active role in projects and continuous improvement activities, including project management responsibilities.
- Develop and complete engineering models and drawings with SolidWorks.
- Help prepare and maintain technical documentation including drawings, BOMs, test protocols, and reports.
- Participate in design reviews, project meetings, and cross-functional team collaborations.
- Promote safety within a manufacturing environment.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of high school education & completed one year of college minimum, and actively pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar degree program.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Proficiency with SolidWorks software
