NOW HIRING — HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR $28-$65 Per Hour
AMS Companies is expanding and looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our growing team. If you’re experienced, safety-focused, and want access to prevailing wage work, this is the opportunity for you. We are a Non-Union outfit and looking to continue growing!
Pay Range $28-$65 depending on how the project is funded
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operating heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, skid steers, dozers)
- Storm sewer installation (RCP, PVC/SDR, manholes, catch basins)
- Grading, excavation & site preparation
- Demolition & material handling
- Landscape construction & site restoration
- Working alongside foremen to meet production, quality, and safety goals
What We’re Looking For
- Class A CDL (preferred)
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment
- Knowledge of storm sewer & underground utilities
- Ability to read and work off laser levels and GPS machine-control systems
- Ability to read grades, plans, and job layouts
- Maintain equipment properly (daily inspections, greasing, cleanliness, reporting mechanical issues)
- Respect for authority, supervisors, and fellow team members
- Strong work ethic, accountability, and teamwork
- Comfortable working outdoors in Ohio conditions
