Essential Function: 

Join our IT team and gain hands-on experience supporting the technology that powers our operations. As a Service Desk Intern, you’ll assist in providing friendly, helpful technical support to team members across office and manufacturing environments. Under the guidance of experienced staff, you’ll learn how to configure and install computers, support end users, and maintain IT systems and inventory. This is a great opportunity to build foundational skills in IT support while contributing to real-world projects in a collaborative and safety-focused environment.  


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct time studies and work sampling to discover opportunities for improving efficiency and conserving resources such as time, money, materials, labor hours, machine time, and energy.• Document the current state of manufacturing through the use of Standardized Work Combination Tables and Standardized Operation Sheets.
  • Support root cause analysis on underlying causes of inefficiencies in our processes, contributing to the enhancement of overall performance.
  • Ensure discrete event model accuracy by identifying statistical distributions needed for modeling various equipment and processes and formulate ways for gathering the data.
  • Develops and maintains a working knowledge of the Company Quality Management System and properly apply Quality Procedures and Operating Procedures as appropriate.
  • Carries out special projects and all other additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:   

This co-op position is designed to provide hands-on learning under the guidance of experienced engineers. The student will receive structured mentorship and support to build their skills in a real-world environment.

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting complex documents.
  • Capability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries.
  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to craft impactful speeches and articles using innovative techniques and a variety of stylistic approaches.
  • Ability to clearly communicate research findings or project outcomes through presentations tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences, including team members and leadership.
  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a broad range of intellectual and practical problems.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
  • Skilled in utilizing computer applications such as Microsoft 360 and a variety of software applications.

The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds. The employee regularly is required to lift up to 15 pounds. The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the environment is moderate.
