About the Role:
We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Laser Cutting Assistant to support our metal fabrication team. In this role, you will assist the lead laser operator with the setup, operation, and maintenance of laser cutting equipment used to process metal parts. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude and a strong work ethic who is looking to grow within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in loading and unloading metal sheets onto laser cutting machines

• Support the setup and calibration of laser machines under operator supervision

• Remove finished parts from cutting table and perform basic deburring or cleaning

• Label, organize, and stage completed parts for the next production step

• Help monitor machine performance and notify the operator or supervisor of issues

• Keep work area clean, organized, and safe

• Follow all safety procedures and wear proper PPE

• Learn machine operation and potentially grow into a lead operator role over time

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in manufacturing or metal fabrication preferred (but not required)

• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

• Basic mechanical skills and a willingness to learn new equipment

• Team-oriented attitude and reliability are a must

• High school diploma or equivalent
