Job Description
We are seeking a Lead Teacher/Administrator to join our family childcare program! This individual will plan and present age appropriate activities for children 12 months to 3 years old.
Responsibilities:
- Plans, develops and implements weekly lesson plans that fit the
children’s needs, interests and developmental levels in the program. - Is responsible for all aspects of the appearance and management of
the program showing the children's learning through art. - Maintains the quality of supplies and materials in the program
in a neat and orderly fashion. - Reports any broken or unsafe toys and properly disinfects toys on a regular basis in accordance with the state regulations.
- Conducts the program in accordance with Ohio Department of Job and
Family Services (ODJFS) guidelines. - Effectively communicate verbal and written reports to the parents and
maintain a positive relationship. - Monitors and assists in maintaining the cleanliness of the program.
- Maintains appropriate teacher/child ratio.
- Maintains a safe and fun learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
- Must be able to pass a BCI and FBI background check
- Be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Posses or in the process of completing an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education
- Must be able to or interested in obtaining a Child Development - (preferred)
Associate Credential (CDA) - (preferred) - CPR/AED, First Aid, and Communicable Disease and Child Abuse - (preferred)
- Familiar with OCCRRA and have trainings completed - (preferred)
- Passionate about working with children
- Ability to build rapport with children
- Positive and patient demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
