Job Summary
The MIG/TIG Welder is responsible for performing high-quality welding on metal components and assemblies using MIG and TIG welding techniques. This role ensures that welded products meet quality standards, specifications, and applicable welding codes.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metals, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
· Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, welding symbols, and specifications
· Weld in accordance with AWS D1.1 structural welding code requirements
· Inspect and verify welded components for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity
· Maintain welding equipment, including torches, regulators, and welding machines
· Follow proper welding procedures, safety protocols, and PPE requirements
· Collaborate with production and fabrication teams to meet project deadlines
· Perform basic finishing tasks such as grinding, smoothing, and cleaning welded parts
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Qualifications
· AWS D1.1 Certification – REQUIRED (mandatory)
· Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
· Knowledge of welding safety procedures and proper material handling
· Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in various positions throughout the shift
· Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
