About the Role: Service Technician
John Hinderer Honda Power Store is looking for a Powersports service technician who is able to perform diagnostics, repairs, recalls, and maintenance work on motorcycles, atvs and utvs. must have previously worked as a technician. this position will also support the parts counter. we’re looking for a candidate with high energy, drive, and a passion for the Powersports industry. all wages are competitive and based on your skill level and experience.
responsibilities
- examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
- communicates with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
- documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
- saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
- road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician.
- participates in Honda-sponsored training programs, schools and events.
- keeps abreast of Honda technical bulletins.
- keeps shop area neat and clean.
- operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- communicates with vendors on parts and service etas.
- checks and verifies parts received.
- scans all invoices and necessary documents into complete shop the day orders arrive.
- assists with repair order documentation.
qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent.
- one to two years related experience and/or training.
- Honda experience is a plus.
- strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- ability to provide personable, friendly customer service to internal and external customers.
- own tools to perform tasks required at your proficiency level.
- valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- must be able to satisfactorily complete a background check inclusive of drug screening.
