We pride ourselves on longevity, strong customer relationships, and building a business that lasts. We are seeking an experienced Senior Technician to support and strengthen our service department as we continue to grow. This role is focused on hands-on diagnostics and repair.
Duties
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on outdoor power and compact equipment.
- Complete scheduled services, seasonal maintenance, and warranty repairs.
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections on new and used equipment.
- Test equipment for proper operation prior to job completion.
- Support day-to-day shop workflow and efficiency.
Responsibilities
-Diagnose and repair zero-turn mowers, gasoline (2- and 4-stroke) engines, small diesel engines, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.
- Accurately document labor hours, diagnostics performed, and parts used.
- Look up required parts using manufacturer systems and provide information to the service manager.
- Work collaboratively with the service manager, who handles customer communication and scheduling.
- Assign and coordinate daily tasks for the porter/shop helper to support efficient workflow.
- Assist with training or supporting a junior or part-time technician as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area.
Qualifications
-3+ years of experience servicing outdoor power or compact equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Working knowledge of gas and small diesel engines, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and parts breakdowns.
- Comfortable working within defined roles and processes.
- Dependable, professional, and team-oriented.
