Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estate Planning Paralegal / Trust Drafting Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estate planning, trust document drafting, and legal software tools. This role supports advisors and attorneys in preparing, organizing, and executing estate planning documents with precision and care.

This position is perfect for someone who values accuracy, client service, and the intersection of law, finance, and legacy planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and review estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and related forms.

  • Prepare and process real estate deeds and coordinate recording as part of trust funding.

  • Support the coordination and administration of client estate plans and related financial planning needs.

  • Maintain organized client files, ensuring all legal documentation meets compliance and fiduciary standards.

  • Communicate with clients, attorneys, and financial advisors to gather information and ensure document accuracy.

  • Conduct research on estate, trust, and probate matters as needed.

  • Assist with document execution, notarization, and client follow-up to ensure timely completion.

  • Uphold strict confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive client information.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in estate planning, probate, or trust law.

  • Strong knowledge of estate and trust document preparation and deed drafting/recording.

  • Experience using WealthCounsel or similar estate planning software strongly preferred.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems.

  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and internal team members.

  • Paralegal certification or relevant legal training preferred.

  • Notary Public commission is a plus.

  • Experience working in a financial planning or wealth management environment is beneficial.
