We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Funeral Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a genuine desire to help families during their time of loss. This role requires the ability to arrange and oversee all aspects of funeral services, from coordinating logistics to providing emotional support to grieving families.
We are open to relocation for the right candidate
Responsibilities:
- Arrange and coordinate funeral services, including preparation, transportation, and burial or cremation.
- Meet with families to discuss service options, make arrangements, and provide emotional support.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to funeral services.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of funeral arrangements, client information, and financial transactions.
- Manage the preparation and presentation of deceased individuals, including embalming, dressing, and cosmetic enhancements.
- Supervise and train support staff to ensure high-quality service and adherence to professional standards.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the funeral home facilities.
- Collaborate with external partners, such as clergy, florists, and cemeteries, to ensure seamless coordination of services.
Qualifications:
- Current state licensure as a funeral director is required, or the ability to reciprocate
- Strong knowledge of funeral service practices, regulations, and legal requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and emotional support skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
