ICU Registered Nurse – Travel Assignment (Nights)

Position Overview
Seeking an experienced ICU RN for a high-acuity inpatient unit. This role requires strong critical care skills and the ability to manage complex patients independently on night shift.

Position Details

• ICU RN
• Travel candidates only (local candidates not accepted)
• Dysrhythmia exam required
• Minimum 1 year recent ICU experience
• Ventilator management and pressor titration required
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH
• Schedule: 12-hour nights

Unit Details

• 16-bed ICU
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2–3
• Patient population includes septic shock, EtOH withdrawal, post-MI, COPD exacerbations, and post-abdominal surgery
• Support staff: 1–2 unit secretaries house-wide
• Hospitalist in-house; intensivist on-call

Strong critical thinking, comfort with high-acuity patients, and the ability to function autonomously on nights are essential for success in this role.
