STRATEGIC SUMMARY
Responsible for quality assurance analysis of new and existing processes to ensure production quality meets customer engineering drawings and specifications. Will drive through root cause analysis corrective actions relating to supplied material and manufacturing process issues.
TACTICAL SUMMARY
· Provide quality interface and expertise between the company and its customers to proactively assure that their needs and expectations are understood and satisfied. Including, analyzing failures and implementing corrective and preventative action to respond to customer complaints and returns.
· Lead new model activities pertaining to quality assurance and quality related agreements with the customers.
· Understand product functions and assist in setting quality specifications to secure such features (from the development stage) for existing or new products
· Have high-level understanding of all important customer event dates as well as deadline to perform administrative tasks to carry out internal developmental planPerform administrative tasks in analyzing cost and realizing profitability for new quality systems
· Perform administrative tasks in setting objectives or concepts for new product specifications and accomplish any relevant tasks assigned in this matter
· Determine overall existing and new model product quality by conducting and evaluating various product tests and checks.
· Investigate product quality problems, determine root cause, gather and analyze data and implement corrective action to reduce or eliminate cause.
· Routinely review regular inspection data and prepare statistical and operation performance reports.
· Perform process capability studies or special studies necessary to increase control and lower total quality costs.
· Use quality tools and practices to establish approval criteria to ensure the identification of quality failure concerns for both internal and external manufactured parts and assemblies.
· Perform product and process evaluations to identify areas for improvement. Recommend solutions to identified problems. Implement approved changes using sound quality engineering principles and fully document requirements on a timely basis.
· Provide lessons learned and issue management reports.
· Work closely with manufacturing operations to identify and resolve production and quality system deficiencies.
· Assist in development, review and approval of process and equipment validation/qualifications.
· Help facilitate continuous improvement and learning across all functional areas through training and communication of quality initiatives.
· Provide guidance in the development of quality documents: FMEA, PQCT, Inspection Standards, Check Sheets, etc.
· May assist with the education and instruction of plant associates in recommended quality assurance standards, testing and checks.
· Lead/support Improvement Theme Activity
· Provides leadership and support to improve working conditions (safety, quality, productivity, and cost) and increase your associates skills and capabilities.
· May Manage direct reports
· All other duties assigned
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Education
· Associate Degree or any combination of equivalent experience and education
2. Experience
· Minimum of 2 year related work in a manufacturing facility
· Knowledge of various system methodology: ISO 9001, IATF, Total Quality Management, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans and SPC, 5P, etc.
