- Full-time, salaried role with regular hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- No weekends or holidays required.
Duties and Key Responsibilities
- The Practice Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Physician Practice(s) assigned to them.
- The Practice Manager works collaboratively with practice providers to ensure the efficient and effective daily operation of the practice including the supervision and evaluation of the practice staff as well as ensuring the practice’s financial viability via revenue cycle management and operational expense control.
- Oversees all practice operations, budget, and workflows within the medical practice to ensure all applicable Grand Lake policies and procedures are in effect.
- This position requires critical thinking skills and working on special projects as assigned.
- The Practice Manager is responsible for ensuring the practice’s marketing and growth as well as continuous quality improvement and excellence of service.
- The Practice Manager ensures smooth interfaces with hospital operations.
- Develop and deliver presentations, reports, and updates to leadership, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Foster a high-performance culture by mentoring and supporting staff while maintaining accountability for practice outcomes.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of practice management and administration.
- Advanced ability to interpret, implement, and develop Grand Lake Health System policies and procedures.
- Proficient in developing, designing, and presenting complex information to diverse audiences.
- Strong mathematical reasoning skills.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in negotiating, influencing, political acuity, and resiliency.
- Advanced problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated accountability for responsibilities and actions.
- Advanced knowledge of technology applications in office settings.
- Must possess the ability to motivate staff and build effective relationships.
Education/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration (or equivalent) or combination of five years progressively more responsible healthcare management experience and education/training in medical office administration/management required.
- Master’s degree in administration preferred.
- Must possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License.
- If applicable, licensure in area of clinical expertise.
Experience
- Prior leadership experience in healthcare administration, practice management, or a related field.
- Proven record of successfully implementing policies, workflows, or process improvements in a healthcare setting.
- Experience managing staff, fostering team development, and supporting organizational change.
- Demonstrated ability to work with providers, staff, and leadership to achieve operational and patient care objectives.
