Ability to consultatively articulate complex technical findings to more experienced management in clear, concise, understandable terms
Proficient knowledge and understanding in the following key areas:
- Hardware Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations)
- Hardware Benchmarking (Agile, program managements, network management)
- Design (compliance, security)
- Network Engineering (planning, provision)
- Proficient in more than one specific infrastructure technology
- Executes against understanding of best practices and Client policies.
Roles and Responsibilities:
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
• Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages: Python, Java, C, C++, Go, JCL, REXX, PERL, PHP, JYTHON, zOSMF Workflows, J2EE, MVC, JDBC, Servlets, JSP, HTML, jQuery, AngularJS, JSON, and XML.
• Advanced experience working with two or more from the following: web application development, database, Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, information retrieval, networking, large scale software development, security software development.
• Understanding or have experience with agile and lean philosophies.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with clear communication.
• Ability to collaborate with different roles to achieve common goals.
• Proficient across WebSphere (WAS) Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations), Design (compliance, security) and Connectivity (planning, securing).
• Strong knowledge of server-side design patterns and continuous delivery principles.
• Ability to articulate and share clear, concise complex technical findings to management in understandable terms.
• Intermediate/Strong proficiency in these key areas:
• WebSphere Application Server (WAS).
• JAVA
• TCP/IP, Certificates, AT-TLS, Keyring, Keystore
• Experience with USS (directory permissions, audit bit as well as how the owner, groups, users work with regards to ownership)
