A healthcare facility in Newark, OH is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Surgical Technologist specializing in Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Vascular, and related specialties for a contract opportunity. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification preferred but not mandatory
- Extensive, current experience across Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Vascular, and a variety of surgical specialties essential
- Strong knowledge of central processing and surgical instrumentation
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and attention to detail
- Reliable with minimal return-to-office requirements

Responsibilities:
- Assist in surgical procedures with a focus on orthopedic, neuro, and vascular cases
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and sterile fields
- Collaborate effectively with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and procedure efficiency
- Respond promptly to call requirements with a guaranteed 30-minute arrival time when on call
- Participate in call rotations approximately every fifth weekend and during selected holidays based on departmental needs
Schedule:
- Approximately 36-40 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling options including three 12-hour shifts, four 10-hour shifts, or five 8-hour shifts (start and end times negotiable)
- Call duties divided between Call 1 and Call 2 coverage
