The Process II Engineer provides technical engineering input to requests for quotes and equipment specifications, performs and coordinates technical estimating, quotes and prices activities for new and aftermarket equipment and products for the corn wet milling and ethanol industry.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Perform analytical design studies and specify system components for equipment in the corn wet milling and ethanol industry
  • Work with internal and external resources to prepare technical requirements encompassing the project. This includes P&IDs, equipment layouts, and equipment specification for purchase
  • Develop project schedules and coordinate with a client’s engineer and/or contractor
  • Track and control project progress and costs
  • Interface with vendors (write specs, issue inquiry, review bids, develop customer submittals) to select the most cost-effective components
  • Work with a client’s contractor or internal personnel to arrange commissioning of equipment in the field

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Process, Chemical, or Biological Engineering. Master’s degree or PhD highly desired
  • 5+ years work experience in Sales Engineering and/or Process / Project Engineering with customer experience preferred
  • Communicate effectively with people at all levels inside and outside the organization via written and oral means
  • May require travel of up to 15% domestic, with some international
