Job Title: CNC Lathe Machinist
Pay: $28/hr
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist who will play a pivotal role in our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and setting up CNC machines, ensuring adherence to production schedules, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to production schedules by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, and material specifications.
- Interpret complex geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
- Effectively operate CNC machines by entering instructions, including setting tool registers and offsets.
- Utilize basic math, geometry, trigonometry, and G-code programming for machining requirements.
- Correctly set up CNC machines by programming, editing, and adjusting tools with minimal assistance.
- Safely load raw material, verify settings, and measure work pieces to international standards.
- Observe machining processes to ensure part specifications and troubleshoot malfunctions.
- Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance and reporting issues for timely repairs.
- Educate and train other machinists on production, programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance procedures.
- Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and needs to maintain continuity among work shifts.
- Participate actively in problem resolution and demonstrate effective communication and resolution skills.
- Comply with all company policies and support the Safety Program.
- Participate in meetings, training, and continuing education programs.
- Promote the company's core values through work performance and excellent customer service.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in CNC machining and set-up with 3+ years of experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
- Experience in editing programs and using G&M codes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience with Pcode and Twin Turret Lathe is a plus.

Work Environment
This position is on the 1st shift, operating from 6 AM to 2:30 PM. Work takes place in a manufacturing environment with exposure to ambient and controlled temperatures, airborne graphite dust, and moderate noise levels. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required. The role involves standing for long periods, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 75 pounds occasionally. Effective communication in English and proficiency with a personal computer are necessary. The facility boasts a new building with state-of-the-art air filters.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
