About the Company:
Our client is a leading ENR-ranked, mid-sized General Contractor headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Superintendent to join their team, with a focus on healthcare projects.
Position Overview:
The Senior Superintendent will oversee and manage the construction execution of healthcare projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. This role is primarily office-based in Columbus, with some on-site presence required to supervise field operations. The ideal candidate has extensive experience as a Superintendent, particularly in healthcare construction.
- Compensation: $135k-$185k+
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities for healthcare projects
- Lead and mentor field teams, including foremen, trade partners, and subcontractors
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and quality to ensure successful delivery
- Oversee subcontractor performance, contracts, and compliance with safety protocols
- Maintain proactive communication with clients, architects, consultants, and project stakeholders
- Resolve field-related issues and facilitate timely decision-making
- Ensure adherence to all company safety, quality, and operational standards
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects, with significant healthcare experience
- Proven track record managing complex healthcare builds, including renovations and ground-up facilities
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with construction management tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project)
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred but not required
