Job Description

Job DescriptionLHH is recruiting a temporary, full-time Paralegal for a company in Independence. Working closely with in-house counsel and the legal operations manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for various legal support work, from administrative tasks to document review, fact finding investigations, legal research, and the preparation of numerous documents covering a wide range of subject matters. The Paralegal will also assist in maintaining department processes and will frequently interact with Company representatives and outside counsel to coordinate projects and filings. This is a 6 month assignment, remote-hybrid.

Qualifications:

  • Education: paralegal certificate or associate degree in related field (overall experience will be considered in lieu of the Education requirement)

  • Experience: at least 5 years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal for a law firm or in-house legal department, or other comparable relevant experience; demonstrated experience managing litigation and claims is expected; experience working with commercial contracts and/or labor and employment is a plus

  • Technology: proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point, as well as database proficiency; able to utilize other software applications at an intermediate level and learn Company's specific applications; willing to learn and use new technology

Pay Details: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
