Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Administration Paralegal

Location: Westlake, OH

Our client is a well-established law firm based in Westlake, Ohio, providing a full spectrum of legal services including business and tax law, employee benefits, estate planning, trust and probate administration, and litigation.

They are seeking an experienced Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Administration Paralegal to support attorneys with estate and trust administration, document preparation, and client communication. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a client-focused mindset, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft estate planning documents such as Wills, Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts, Powers of Attorney, and Health Care Directives.
  • Support attorneys with probate and trust administration by preparing court filings, gathering and organizing asset information, and coordinating with financial institutions.
  • Attend meetings with attorneys and clients to facilitate the execution of estate planning documents.
  • Prepare deeds, affidavits, and other real estate-related documentation.
  • Maintain case files, track deadlines, and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
  • Serve as a client liaison to provide updates, gather necessary information, and ensure excellent service.
  • Assist attorneys with tax-related filings, including estate and trust income tax returns and estate tax returns.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; Associate or Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Previous law firm experience preferred, particularly in Probate or Estate Planning.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with law firm and estate/probate software preferred.
