Responsibilities
Responsible for day-to-day field service, including but not limited to: repair service, troubleshooting, installations, and preventive maintenance relative to the local market in and around Ohio and Indiana (limited overnight travel).
Essential Duties include:
- Perform troubleshooting, repair service, installations or PMs as required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues and provide service phone support.
- Provide effective written and verbal communication internally.
- Maintain field reports, customer records, technical documentation, and expense reporting with accuracy and timeliness.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Work in Ohio and Indiana; limited overnight stays
Requirements:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Associate’s degree or certification in a related technical field (e.g., Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance) preferred.
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience as a CNC field service technician or similar role preferred.
- Experience with CNC Machine Tools preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Familiarity with PLCs, CNC machines, or other relevant industrial equipment is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Customer-oriented attitude with a focus on delivering high-quality service.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Comfortable working in various environments, including industrial settings.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, specific equipment certifications) are advantageous.
