Full-time SLP for 2025-2026 School Year (K-12)
Location: Newark, Ohio
Hours: Full-time (35 hours/week)
Caseload: K-12 students
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist to join our school district in Newark, OH. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive speech and language services to students across all grade levels, from kindergarten through 12th grade. You will play a vital role in fostering effective communication skills and supporting academic success for a diverse student population.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students across the K-12 spectrum.

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet each student's communication goals and educational needs.

Provide direct speech and language therapy services in individual and group settings, utilizing evidence-based practices.

Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, special education staff, parents, and other school professionals to integrate communication goals into the curriculum and daily school life.

Monitor student progress, maintain accurate and timely documentation, and adjust therapy plans as necessary.

Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Serve as a resource to school staff regarding speech and language development and intervention strategies.
Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Current and active Ohio Speech-Language Pathologist licensure.

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is highly preferred.

Experience working with K-12 school-aged children is desirable.

Strong understanding of speech and language development across different age groups.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
