Location: Newark, Ohio
Hours: Full-time (35 hours/week)
Caseload: K-12 students

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist to join our school district in Newark, OH. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive speech and language services to students across all grade levels, from kindergarten through 12th grade. You will play a vital role in fostering effective communication skills and supporting academic success for a diverse student population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students across the K-12 spectrum.

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet each student's communication goals and educational needs.

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services in individual and group settings, utilizing evidence-based practices.

  • Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, special education staff, parents, and other school professionals to integrate communication goals into the curriculum and daily school life.

  • Monitor student progress, maintain accurate and timely documentation, and adjust therapy plans as necessary.

  • Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and professional development opportunities.

  • Serve as a resource to school staff regarding speech and language development and intervention strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

  • Current and active Ohio Speech-Language Pathologist licensure.

  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is highly preferred.

  • Experience working with K-12 school-aged children is desirable.

  • Strong understanding of speech and language development across different age groups.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a school setting.
