Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Probate Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to our attorneys in various legal matters, including, probate and trust administration. This role requires strong administrative skills, proficiency in legal software, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Responsibilities(including but not limited to):
- Overseeing and actioning the Estate Administration process from start to finish for assigned client workload including dealing with probate court/s.
- Prepare and file legal documents with courts and other relevant agencies.
- Drafting (including but not limited to) - Probate documents, court filing forms, letters of authority, etc
- Manage case files and maintain organized records
- Provide executive administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing correspondence.
- Creation of asset reports, including asset spreadsheets as directed by attorney.
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Communicate with clients regarding case updates and gather necessary information.
- Entering time to ensure weekly billable hours achieved.
- Ensuring all critical deadlines are met.
- Support the team in various clerical tasks to ensure smooth office operations.
Requirements
Essential Skills/Traits(including but not limited to):
- Proven experience in a similar legal administrative role (ideally in the Estate Administration field with a primary focus on Probate).
- Legal background in probate training and qualifications would be desirable.
- Strong proofreading skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of math skills.
- High level of follow-through.
- Intermediate to Advanced Word.
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel.
- Intermediate to Advanced Outlook.
- Penchant/Intuition to learn other software/technology quickly we use other software/cloud based such as Ring Central, Active Campaign, Trello in addition to drafting software.
- Smart appearance.
- Articulate strong communication skills via a various of means i.e., face to face, phone, email etc.
- High level of interpersonal skills.
- High level of emotional intelligence.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to solve problems independently.
- Exceptionally organized.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment at a fast but accurate pace.
- Team player.
- Kolbe score like (8-8-1-4) (7-7-3-3) (6-7-5-3).
- Ideally, candidate will need to live within about 25-30 minutes of our Clayton Office

Job Type: Full-time
Starting Rate: $55,000.00 per year
