Primary Job Function: The Industrial Engineer will apply statistical methods and mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements and production planning

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes and designs sequence of operations to optimize workflow and improve efficiencies using lean principles and analytical data.
  • Conducts analysis pertaining to cost control, inventory control and KPI performance.
  • Develop new layouts leading to optimization of efficiencies.
  • Has a working knowledge of the principles and tools of lean manufacturing (VSM, Poke Yoke, 5S, Heijunka, Best Practices, Standard Work, and Work Instructions etc.).
  • Establishes work measurement programs measuring labor activities and work content leading to creation and maintenance of labor standards.
  • Establish and maintain SOP's
  • Determines project feasibility based on based on costs, space, technical requirements, and ROI analysis.
  • Cross-functional participation across all business groups, customers, and suppliers.
  • Manage the "new product introduction process" to include technical data updates or creation, standard work and related costing of labor or materials
  • Maintain Bill of Materials
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be currently pursuing an advanced degree or certification in the field of Engineering or Industrial Sciences
  • Minimum of 2 years of Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suites and AutoCAD
  • Team oriented with good written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean manufacturing experience (preferred)

Work Environment

This job operates in both a professional office environment and manufacturing facility. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computer, photocopiers, and scanners.
