Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Production Support Manager to oversee the stability and performance of production systems in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. This long-term contract position is based in Columbus, Ohio, and requires a proactive leader dedicated to ensuring system availability and addressing technical challenges effectively. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing production support teams and implementing best practices for incident management and problem resolution.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor production systems to ensure consistent performance and availability.
• Perform routine system maintenance tasks, including updates, backups, and patches.
• Lead the response to production incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption.
• Diagnose and resolve recurring technical issues by identifying root causes and implementing preventive measures.
• Supervise and mentor the production support team, fostering growth and collaboration.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and business teams to understand needs and provide technical support.
• Communicate system statuses, incidents, and resolutions clearly to stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and monitoring tools to track system health.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance efficiency.
• Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to implement best practices.• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in production support or system administration.
• Proven expertise in leading support teams and resolving complex technical issues.
• Proficiency in system monitoring tools, scripting languages, and automation technologies.
• Strong organizational and project management skills to oversee multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities to address technical challenges.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
