Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Glass Technician to join our team. Be apart of out rapidly growing company known for high quality standards and top notch customer service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, and replacement of automotive glass in a variety of vehicles. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Pay is based on experience! WE WILL TRAIN THE RIGHT CANIDATE!
- Perform installation and repair of automotive glass, including windshields, side windows, and rear windows.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment to ensure proper fitting and sealing of glass components.
- Remove all broken glass and clean up to minimize customer exposure to glass
- Maintain a warranty rate of 2% or less
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well stocked work van and other company provided equipment
- Document all required fields on work orders including VIN, PO, RO and payment types
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to assess the condition of existing glass and identify any necessary repairs or replacements.
- Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as needed to facilitate glass installation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding services performed and any additional needs.
- Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and technologies related to automotive glass repair and installation, including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
Requirements
- Must have a valid drivers license and ability to pass MVR check
- Proven experience in automotive glass installation or related fields is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance or auto body repair is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during installations.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and equipment specific to the automotive industry.
- Knowledge of ADAS systems is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
