RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitors stock for commonly purchased commodities, including pricing, lead times, and capacity changes.
- Analyzes quotations for time, price, and quality, resolving vendor contract terms and conditions.
- Negotiates and establishes contract terms with vendors.
- Expedites purchase orders and address vendor-related issues.
- Provides pricing and delivery data for financial planning.
- Ensures compliance with regulations and internal purchasing policies.
- Conducts vendor research, evaluations, and ensure QMs approval for vendors and parts.
- Maintains and updates electronic recordkeeping system for all purchase order, repair order, parts, inventory, and tooling for tracking and access to related data.
- Reviews purchase orders for completeness, accuracy, and policy compliance.
- Manages dangerous goods shipment per Section 7 of the RSM.
- Maintains parts certification documents and purchase records.
- Ensures proper identification of inventory within the Parts Area(s).
- Manages tool issuance and tracking program.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work well without constant supervision.
- Ability to climbs ladders and access/lift inventory overhead.
- Ability to complete company provided HAZMAT shipping training.
- Ability to qualify for Airport SIDA badge.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Ability to lift 50 IBS or more.
- Must possess good oral and written communications skills and problem solving skills.
- Possess a valid state driver's license and if position requires use of company vehicle(s), must be insurable under company insurance coverage.
- Ability to work occasional odd hours, including some evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED). College Degree Preferred!
- One year related experience preferred.
- Computer proficient in MS office and general internet applications.
- Ability to read, write and understand English.
