Summary
MDG Flooring America – Kiba Studios is seeking skilled Ceramic Subcontractor Installers to join our team. We are looking for detail-oriented professionals with proven experience in ceramic tile installation, from floors to walls and showers. The ideal candidate is committed to high-quality craftsmanship, modern installation practices, and maintaining a clean, professional job site. We have locations in Medina, Akrong and North Olmsted. Installers will be required to travel throughout these areas.
*Pay Structure: Subcontractor position paid by piece work (rate varies by project type and scope).
Duties
- Install ceramic tile with precise layout, cuts, and alignment.
- Work with modern coupling membranes and stay current with industry standards.
- Install wall tile in both wet and dry areas.
- Construct showers, including standard and zero-entry designs.
- Ensure daily and final cleanup of the workspace, including proper grout haze removal.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment at all times.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, team members, and clients as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in ceramic tile installation (floors, walls, showers).
- Strong knowledge of current installation methods, including coupling membranes.
- Ability to perform precise cuts and layouts.
- Experience with zero-entry shower installations preferred.
- Must have own set of professional tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized job site.
- Professionalism, punctuality, and strong work ethic.
- Must have a reliable vehicle capable of hauling materials.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must carry active business insurance and vehicle insurance.
