Job Description

Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced individual with expertise in medical billing, claims, and collections to join our team in Warrensville Heights, Ohio. This is a contract position where you will play a key role in ensuring timely claims processing, payment resolutions, and accounts receivable follow-up. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and skilled at navigating regulatory standards and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities:
• Process claims, payments, denials, and appeals efficiently to ensure a seamless billing operation.
• Follow up on accounts receivable balances to address outstanding payments and discrepancies.
• Communicate regularly with insurance carriers, patients, and office staff to resolve disputes or nonpayment issues.
• Maintain familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and organizational coverage criteria.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and departmental policies.
• Utilize payer portals and billing software effectively, with a preference for WellSky experience.
• Collaborate with the Central Billing Office Manager and team members to meet departmental goals.
• Assist in refining and adhering to departmental procedures and policies.
• Handle billing-related inquiries and provide clear communication to stakeholders.
• Support the team with behavioral health billing operations as needed.• Proficiency in medical billing, claims processing, collections, and appeals.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to learn new billing software.
• Familiarity with payer portals and hospital billing processes.
• Effective oral and written communication abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with patients, insurance providers, and team members.
• High school diploma or equivalent education required.
• Behavioral health billing experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Must comply with vaccination requirements as stated by the organization.
