Job Title: Early Childhood Day Treatment Supervisor

Location: In-person, Cincinnati, Ohio

Job Type: Full-Time

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution, Master’s preferred
  • LSW or LPC preferred
  • Minimum of three years clinical experience working with children and families
  • Management and/or supervisory experience required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office applications

Job Summary

The Early Childhood Day Treatment (ECDT) Supervisor is responsible for the clinical and operational oversight of the Early Childhood Day Treatment Program. This role involves developing, implementing, and supervising therapeutic mental health services for young children, ensuring alignment with best practices, licensure standards, and regulatory guidelines. The Supervisor provides clinical supervision to Therapeutic Group Leaders and interns, oversees individualized treatment planning, and ensures the delivery of culturally and developmentally appropriate care. The position requires strong collaboration with internal teams, families, and external service providers to ensure holistic, effective treatment for each child.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Supervision & Staff Support
    • Supervise and support Therapeutic Group Leaders and interns, providing guidance on daily operations and therapeutic programming.
    • Lead team meetings and ensure consistent, constructive communication among staff, families, and external partners.
    • Support staff training and development in agency practices and mental health-related topics.
  • Program Operations & Compliance
    • Oversee daily functioning of the ECDT program, ensuring services align with agency standards, licensure, and regulatory guidelines.
    • Ensure timely and accurate documentation, including treatment plans, progress notes, and required reports.
    • Monitor attendance and implement strategies to promote consistent client participation.
  • Collaboration & Communication
    • Collaborate with internal staff and external partners (e.g., schools, healthcare, child welfare) to coordinate care and support for each child.
    • Engage families in the treatment process, ensuring care is culturally responsive and family-centered.
  • Quality & Model Fidelity
    • Contribute to program evaluation, outcome measurement, and continuous quality improvement efforts.
    • Support staff in applying the Teaching Family Model through coaching and feedback.
    • Assist in problem-solving and crisis support as needed.
  • Administrative & Fiscal Support
    • Participate in budget planning and monitor program productivity to meet established targets.
    • Stay informed of billing and reimbursement changes, supporting compliance and efficiency.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $48,000-$64,000

Work Environment:

Exposed to a combination of office, school and mental health treatment environments. Exposed to children with behavior problems. May be exposed to shouting and clients who may be verbally and physically aggressive. May be exposed to blood or vomit and bodily fluids.
