YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS A ROADSIDE TECHNICIAN - DIESEL MECHANIC:
The following shifts are available:
- 10-hour shift
- 12-hour shift
- 8-hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- On call
- Weekends as needed
As a Roadside Technician – Diesel Mechanic, your day starts with a quick check of your gear and tools before heading out to tackle whatever the road throws your way. You perform everything from minor fixes to major heavy-duty repairs on Class 8 trucks and trailers, whether it's at the shop or out in the field. Preventative maintenance is part of your routine, helping keep rigs in top shape before problems arise. When a call comes in, you're ready-responding to breakdowns, diagnosing issues with HVAC systems, wiring, and onboard computers, and getting drivers back on the road safely. You document every repair and maintenance task thoroughly, keep your workspace clean and organized, and stay sharp by following safety regulations and company procedures. Every day brings a new challenge-and you're the one who keeps things moving.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 1+ years of heavy-duty diesel mechanic experience (Class 8)
- Experience with Heavy Duty Tire repair/replacement
- ASE Diesel Certification
- Personal tools
- Driver's License
The following qualifications are a bonus:
- Class A CDL
- Road service experience
