Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Software Developer to join our team in Marysville, Ohio, working on innovative solutions for the automotive industry. This is a long-term contract position requiring a strong technical background and the ability to collaborate effectively in an agile environment. You will play a key role in developing and enhancing manufacturing quality systems that ensure high standards in production processes.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using an agile scrum framework to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, backlog grooming sessions, and retrospectives to ensure project alignment and progress.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing quality systems to track and resolve product quality issues.
• Work closely with business stakeholders and analysts to gather and refine technical requirements.
• Implement containerized microservices using Spring Boot, deployed on OpenShift platforms.
• Design and develop front-end components using Angular and JavaFX for user-friendly interfaces.
• Manage and optimize database systems, including DB2 and PostgreSQL, to support application performance.
• Conduct code reviews and implement best practices to ensure software reliability and maintainability.
• Provide occasional travel support, approximately 10% quarterly, as needed for project requirements.• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in an agile scrum environment, including Jira for project management.
• Proficiency in Java development, including JavaFX, JPA, and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with containerized microservices and OpenShift deployments.
• Strong expertise in database systems, specifically IBM Db2 and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Angular for web development and creating dynamic user interfaces.
• Previous experience in developing systems for manufacturing or quality tracking is highly preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% quarterly for project-related purposes.
