Purpose: The Laser Operator is responsible for programming, operating, and maintaining laser cutting machines to produce parts and products according to precise specifications. The ideal candidate has experience in CNC laser systems, excellent attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program and operate laser cutting machines (e.g., CO2, Fiber laser, etc.).
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files.
- Program machine settings and parameters for material types and thickness.
- Operate the machine per the design to ensure accuracy and precision.
- Load and unload materials and finished products safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
- Inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy, and completeness.
- Record production data and maintain documentation.
- Collaborate with team members and report any issues or malfunctions.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training a plus).
- 1+ years of experience operating laser cutting equipment to include programming the machine.
- Proficiency with CNC machines, CAD/CAM software, and measuring tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
- Prior Trumpf-1040-L94 experience preferred.
Additional Information:
- On-site position in Trotwood, OH
- If selected for this role, a drug screen and background check will be conducted.
- The selected candidate will attend out-of-state training for 1 day.
