Project Support/Lead

Job Description:
Individual will be a highly skilled and hands-on Project Support/Lead to manage and participate in construction, renovation, and maintenance projects across our properties. This role combines field leadership with technical expertise across multiple trades and requires strong communication and digital reporting skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Make on-the-spot decisions to resolve issues to maintain project timelines and in accordance with budgetary guidelines and direction.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Knowledge of general maintenance procedures and practices including but not limited to drywall/paint, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC
- Supervise work in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general construction.
- Coordinate with property managers, vendors, contractors, inspectors, and supervisors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Maintain accurate digital records of work performed, materials used, and safety inspections.
- Use software tools for scheduling, reporting, and communication.
- Develop budgets for projects and get approved by your supervisor and notify finance of large expenditures if outside the annual budget.
- Track and identify relevant work orders, confirm supervisor approval, and follow the Project Administrator Process accordingly.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in residential, multi-family, or commercial construction and maintenance.
- Proficiency in one or more trades: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
* Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Basic digital literacy, including file management and cloud-based collaboration tools.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites.
- Consistently demonstrate a high level of integrity
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with property management software (e.g., AppFolio, Yardi).
- Knowledge of energy-efficient building practices or green certifications.
