Our Swiss machinists play a critical role in manufacturing precision components that make a difference in patients' lives. We specialize in machining medical implants on Star CNC Swiss machines, ensuring the highest quality and precision.
What You'll Do:
- Independently set up, operate, and troubleshoot Star CNC Swiss machines to produce precision medical implants.
- Perform machine offsets, tool changes, and adjustments as needed to maintain tight tolerances.
- Read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and work instructions to ensure parts meet customer specifications.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators to inspect machined parts.
- Perform routine maintenance and daily preventative maintenance (P.M.) on machines.
- Document production activities, including first-piece inspection logs, maintenance records, and work orders.
- Follow strict quality control procedures, including ID & traceability protocols.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to optimize machining processes.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with 5S principles.
What You'll Need:

High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification a plus).

1+ years of experience operating and setting up CNC Swiss machines, preferably Star CNC but not required.

Strong understanding of CNC programming, and tooling.

Ability to interpret and work with GD&T, setup sheets, and blueprints.

Familiarity with Epicor ERP system (preferred but not required).

Familiarity with machine metrics (preferred but not required).

Experience with the line clearance process and documentation procedures in a regulated environment.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
