Job DescriptionEmployment Attorney About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Employment Law Attorney to join a dynamic, full-service law firm with a strong regional presence. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of advising employers on compliance, handling litigation, and providing strategic counsel on workplace matters. This is an opportunity to work with a collaborative team serving clients across diverse industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent employers in state and federal courts on employment-related litigation, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage/hour disputes.
  • Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (ADA, FMLA, Title VII, wage/hour regulations).
  • Draft and review employment agreements, handbooks, and workplace policies.
  • Conduct internal investigations and provide guidance on disciplinary actions and terminations.
  • Deliver training and proactive counseling to HR teams and management on best practices and regulatory updates.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Ohio Bar (or eligibility for admission).
  • 3+ years of experience in employment law, including litigation and counseling.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment statutes and regulations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience representing management-side clients.
  • Familiarity with collective bargaining and labor relations.
  • Strong business acumen and client service orientation.
