Job Description
Summary: The Repair/Quoting Technician position reporting to the Service and Production Manager, is responsible for providing full scope of activities related to Anderson Process repair quoting/order management process (70%) and supporting the hands-on elements of the physical pump repairs (30%).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive repairs, tear down, clean, determine cause of failure, and create a list needed for repair components.
- Document with written details and pictures for presentation to customers.
- Use a computer to research customers, research parts, diagrams, schematics, and manuals online.
- Determine pricing for needed repair components and build quote for the customer.
- Communicate quote to customers and/or Anderson Process sales representative.
- Answer repair related inquiries.
- Track repair quoting activities and related build schedules.
- Process customer repair orders in conjunction with the customer service and sales teams.
- Initiate and maintain repair related work orders.
- Work with manufacturers on repair warranties including reports, pictures, and claim narrative.
- Pull parts from stock, repair equipment, test for effectiveness and document.
- Communicate with both the customer and Anderson Process sales team the repair status.
- Help maintain a clean and safe shop.
- Promote teamwork and communication within organization.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Skills/Experience
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of customer facing interaction.
- Advanced, demonstrable mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent communication skills, multi-tasking and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; professional and outgoing personality.
- Working Knowledge of: MS Office and MRP/ERP interaction.
- Strong organizational skills.
Preferred:
- Associate’s degree.
- Pump, industrial hose, or filter repair experience.
- Customer service experience in the industrial equipment industry.
- P21 (Prophet/Epicor), and/or equivalent ERP system usage.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to semi-frequently lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand or walk at least 25% of the day.
- Ability to twist and turn at least 25% of the day.
- Stoop and bend at least 25% of the day.
- Ability to reach above shoulders at least 25% of day.
- Repetitive hand and wrist movements at least 25% of the day.
- Forearm rotation at least 25% of the day.
