Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A pharmacy technician opportunity is available for an experienced professional to provide support in a busy independent retail pharmacy environment. This full-time position requires a dedicated technician to step in promptly due to unforeseen staff absence, covering an approximately 8-week contract period. The role is located in Pickerington, OH, roughly one hour south of Columbus.
Schedule and Workload:
- 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Daily prescription volume of approximately 130 scripts
- Collaborative work alongside one pharmacist and one pharmacy technician
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter and fulfill prescription orders
- Verify prescription details to ensure safety and compliance
- Manage phone communication with professionalism and efficiency
- Support pharmacy operations to maintain workflow and patient care standards
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Current Ohio pharmacy technician license preferred
- Background in retail pharmacy or similar settings strongly valued
- Familiarity with PioneerRX system is advantageous but not mandatory
- Open to local candidates or traveling pharmacy technicians able to relocate temporarily
