We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Clinical Engineering to lead and manage biomedical operations for a large, progressive healthcare system in Zanesville, OH. This role is ideal for a strategic, hands-on leader with a deep understanding of medical equipment management and regulatory compliance, and a proven track record of driving process improvement and mentoring high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide full operational and fiscal oversight for a large-scale clinical engineering program.

Lead and mentor a team of supervisors and technical professionals.

Ensure optimal maintenance, repair, and calibration of medical devices across the facility.

Drive efficiency through process improvements and quality control initiatives.

Collaborate with hospital executives and clinical staff to align technology services with patient care needs.

Maintain compliance with CIHQ, DNV, Joint Commission (JCAHO), and internal hospital policies.

Manage departmental budgeting, vendor relations, and capital planning projects.

Oversee staffing, training, and performance development.
Must-Have Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

Minimum 5 years’ experience managing biomedical/clinical engineering services in a large healthcare environment.

Proven experience working with C-suite stakeholders on HTM strategy alignment.

Solid knowledge of healthcare regulatory compliance standards (CIHQ, DNV, JCAHO).

Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.

Demonstrated financial acumen and vendor management expertise.
