Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 school in Canton, OH is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide intervention specialist services for the upcoming school year. This contract position offers the opportunity to work onsite with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week from ASAP through June 2, 2026. The caseload and specific age group assignment will be determined based on program needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state guidelines
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to maximize student success
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication with families and administration
Qualifications:
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist teaching license is required
- Experience working with K-12 students in a special education setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, assessment tools, and instructional strategies
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, onsite school environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
