Ohio Grounds Care is hiring Walkway Crew Members for winter snow & ice events. This role focuses on sidewalks, walkways, steps, and entrances — keeping pedestrian areas safe.

Shifts are typically 4–12 hours depending on the storm and route.

Responsibilities

• Apply ice melt (salt or alternative products) to walkways and sidewalks

• Shovel and clear walkways, stairs, and entrances

• Use walk-behind snow blowers where applicable

• Accurately track and report materials used at each site

• Work safely in cold, icy conditions and follow all company safety rules

• Help with light spring clean-up tasks around walkways as the season changes

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation to the Loveland shop

• Able to work overnight and early-morning 4–12 hour shifts during events

• Physically able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly (salt bags, equipment)

• Comfortable working outside in winter conditions for extended periods

• Dependable, on time, and able to follow directions

Compensation

• $18–$20 per hour, based on experience

• Bi-weekly pay

• Extra hours available during active snow events

• Potential to move into spring/summer lawn crew for ongoing work
