As an Automotive Drivability & Maintenance Specialist, you’ll be the go-to expert for keeping a wide range of vehicles running their best. Your day will blend hands-on service, precise diagnostics, and clear communication with drivers who rely on your expertise.

A Day in the Bay

Morning starts with scheduled maintenance—oil changes, tire rotations, and brake checks—followed by vehicle health inspections. As work flows in, you’ll troubleshoot mechanical and electrical concerns, verify repairs, and keep detailed service records. Throughout the day, you’ll keep customers informed, uphold shop safety, and leave your bay clean and organized for the next challenge.

What You’ll Do

• Execute preventive services: oil and filter changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Diagnose drivability, mechanical, and electrical issues across multiple makes and models.
• Perform thorough inspections to uncover potential issues and recommend the right fixes.
• Document services performed and parts used with accuracy and clarity.
• Explain findings and repair options to customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Stay current on automotive technologies and evolving repair techniques.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work area.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; automotive technical certification a plus.
• Hands-on experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
• Solid understanding of vehicle systems and modern diagnostic methods.
• Proficiency with scan tools and shop equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting ability and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
