Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Network Engineer for our client. This position is responsible for hands-on cloud and on-prem networking support within the Network Triage and Troubleshooting (NTT) Team. Focuses on triaging and resolving high-severity issues affecting internal and external business operations.What’s a Typical Day Like?
- Participate in hands-on troubleshooting of high-severity incidents impacting business operations.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to routing, switching, load balancing, firewalls, TCP/IP, connectivity, and network performance.
- Perform analysis using tools such as Wireshark and PCAP files.
- Troubleshoot issues involving cloud networking, virtual network constructs, and security in AWS and/or Azure.
- Support both on-prem and cloud networking environments.
- Work with Cisco routing and switching technologies and F5 load balancers.
- Troubleshoot firewalls including Juniper and Checkpoint.
- Apply infrastructure-as-code practices using Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and ensure rapid mitigation.
- Support ITSM processes including change, incident, and problem management.
- Document triage steps, solutions, and improvements.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of network reliability, automation, and security posture.
What Are the Requirements of the Job?
- 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, networking, security, or architecture.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP and networking fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco route/switch technologies.
- Experience with load balancing, specifically F5.
- Proficiency in cloud networking and security constructs in AWS and/or Azure.
- Experience with firewalls such as Juniper or Checkpoint.
- Ability to analyze network traffic using Wireshark/PCAP.
- Infrastructure automation and development experience using Python and/or Ansible.
- Knowledge of SDN concepts and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Experience with ITSM processes (Change/Incident/Problem).
- Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP/CCSE preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.
- Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
- Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
- Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Communication skills.
